THE curse of Strictly has struck again – with the show’s new dancer Kai Widdrington splitting from his long-term girlfriend before he even makes his debut.
Former Britain’s Got Talent star Kai, 25, is due to hit the dance floor next month and had been seeing fellow dancer Giulia Dotta, 29, for five years.
But Italian Giulia’s agent yesterday confirmed the couple had split, remaining on good terms. Their doomed romance is just the latest in a long line of love trouble linked to the BBC show.
The curse claimed its first victims in 2004, when dancer Brendan Cole and TV star Natasha Kaplinsky were alleged to have had an affair in the first series.
