SADIO MANE turned to ping-pong in an effort to erase the memory of what he regards as his worst season since joining Liverpool.
The Senegalese star still managed to score 16 goals in all competitions last season – but for the demanding forward that didn’t disguise his disdain at a campaign where Liverpool under-achieved.
“I was disappointed with last season,” he confessed. “And passionately so as I thought I could have done more.
“It’s normal to have big ambitions when you are a professional footballer.
“In football, things move on very quickly and people forget the past. It’s a shame but that’s how it is.”
