‘Reiss was one of the nicest guys you could meet'

TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘talented and kind’ actor who was killed in a horror crash.

Reiss Jarvis died in the smash on Huddersfield Road in Delph, Oldham, at around 8.40 pm on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was a passenger in a Mazda 3 which was driving along the road before it came off the carriageway and hit a tree, police said.

The driver of the car – a 34-year-old man – also lost his life in the crash.

Tributes have now poured in for Reiss, who starred in a drama broadcast on the BBC.

The M.E.N. understands that he starred in the 2017 crime drama Murdered for Being Different, which is based on the murder of Sophie Lancaster, 20, in Rossendale. He played Michael Gorman in the show.

Floral tributes were placed at the scene of the tragedy yesterday, as several of Reiss’ friends turned out in shock at the loss of the young actor.
