The 19-year-old has joined Wanderers on loan from City - where he is highly thought of and seen as fourth choice in the goalkeeping department - for the second half of the League One season.
He had previously been on loan at Accrington Stanley but had found game time hard to come by towards the end of his spell there.
He has slotted straight into the goalkeeping department after his move to Wanderers and kept four clean sheets in his first four games for his new club.
That broke a Bolton club record previously held by Simon Farnworth.
