PEOPLE living on the street where a murder probe was launched following the death of a 40-year-old man have spoken of their shock.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder after the man died at a property on Agecroft Road in Pendlebury on Tuesday last night.
Police were initially called to reports of an assault but emergency services pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The men arrested are aged 43 and 46.
Eight houses were cordoned off, with nearby residents reporting several police cars, ambulances, armed police, CSI vans and at least a dozen detectives quickly descending on the scene.
