PARAMEDICS and police officers raced through the city centre yesterday evening to the scene of a double stabbing - one of which proved to be fatal.
It was the latest in a series of deadly knife attacks that have taken place across the city in recent months.
Around 6.30pm police confirmed they had been called by paramedics to an incident that had broken out on Pollard Street, close to Manchester city centre.
Tragically, one man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. The other male victim, also in his 20s, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
