‘Big Guns' Boom as Campaigning Ends

Campaigning for Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly elections concluded on Saturday evening. Both states go to elections on Monday (October 21), and counting will take place on Thursday (October 24).

Power packed roadshows and whirlwind rallies by political heavyweights in Maharashtra marked the last day of campaigning. The most notable among them being the roadshow conducted by Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis who is contesting from Nagpur South-West constituency.

In a massive show of strength, Fadnavis flanked by his wife Amruta Fadnavis and others, mounted on a rath/truck took out a roadshow in the early morning hours from Mate Square to Deen Dayal Nagar in Nagpur. Nagpur South West is a crucial constituency both from the prestige and candidate point of view. Fadnavis asserted that he would return with a thumping majority. Fadnavis also addressed rallies in Bhandara and Chandrapur.
