CHRISTMAS travellers looked on in horror last night as an out-of-control lorry smashed into cars and a bus at Dublin Airport.
Several people were hurt and a man was cut out of his car. It’s believed the truck driver had a medical emergency.
LORRY SMASHES INTO CARS & BUS AT AIRPORT
Witness Lauren Ashton said: “There was a lot of confusion but the gardai were efficient at getting lanes open again.
“We came out of the airport at Terminal One departures but were not allowed to leave – we were escorted back inside.
“The area was completely gridlocked.”
The truck hit seven cars and a bus on an exit road and continued for a few hundred metres before coming to a stop outside a Circle K garage.
A number of people were taken to hospital.
