Antrim saw off Kilkenny in the All-Ireland intermediate final recently and will pit themselves against the cream of the sport next year, with Kelly citing Meath as an example of what can be achieved.

The Royals claimed a historic All-Ireland ladies football title earlier this month, seeing off four-in-a-row champions Dublin having only emerged from the intermediate grade last year.

Kelly (inset) said: “I think there is definitely a big jump when you go to senior and it could scare you a little bit when you started thinking about it.
