Taoiseach: Troubles Victims Are The Priority

Micheal Martin has led politicians in slamming the UK government over reports it plans to grant an amnesty to Troubles murderers.

The Taoiseach said it would be “a breach of trust” if the UK was to act “unilaterally” and introduce the free pass without consulting politicians from the island of Ireland.

It is believed Boris Johnson is planning on bringing in legislation that would put a bar on future prosecutions of murders committed during the Troubles.

And it has been leaked that the Queen may announce this move in a keynote speech next week.

The amnesty would apply to all murders committed during the 30 years of atrocities, everyone from the British Army, to the IRA, to loyalist paramilitaries.
