Emotional Conan is still loving his rugby

JACK CONAN’S magic career moment to date came in Bilbao – but the plan is to make more.

Conan was “gutted” to learn he wouldn’t start the 2018 Champions Cup final but was more than compensated by the feeling at the final whistle when Leinster beat Racing 92.

“It’s still my fondest memory in rugby, and in life, probably,” said the 28-year-old.

“I wanted to start, but then you just want to help the lads starting and do everything for the team.

“You just want to be on when the final whistle goes and we win.

“To be there with so many Leinster fans and the majority of my family – my parents, my missus, my sister, about 10 of my mates came over – it was just incredible.
