RUDDOCK'S CUP HALF FULL

WINNING trophies takes care of everything.

Rhys Ruddock knows it, having washed away previous Ireland disappointments by celebrating success with Leinster. It’s something he’s hoping for again on Saturday.

A rollercoaster Six Nations that brought a first start – but a defeat to France – and no further pitch involvement will be forgotten if the Blues win a fourth successive PRO14 title.

The back row is grateful that, at 30, his 27th Ireland cap finally saw him break his championship duck. He didn’t get the chance to back it up, however.

“To get that first Six Nations start was such a big moment for me – a massive opportunity that I wanted to grab with both hands,” he said.
