A MAN and a woman were “essential and vital cogs” operating a brothel in a house, a court heard yesterday.
Eamon Ryan, 54, and 48-year-old Fokyee Anderson were charged after gardai raided a house in Ennis, Co Clare, on December 18, 2018.
They both pleaded guilty to permitting a property to be used as a brothel.
During the operation at 31 The Crescent in the town, officers found two Chinese women, one aged 62 and a 50-year-old who had been working as prostitutes.
Gardai also found a 46-year -old man hiding in a wardrobe in the bedroom used by one of the sex workers.
Ryan and Anderson, both of Glenmaroon Road, Palmerstown, Dublin were also present at the property.
