NO TIRS FOR HALL AS FARNEY SET UP DONEGAL DECIDER
MONAGHAN won a dramatic penalty shootout 5-4 against Armagh to set up a Dr McKenna Cup final against Donegal on Saturday night.

The game finished 0-15 each in the Athletic Grounds after a rousing Monaghan comeback in the second half.

Jack McCarron put Monaghan in front for the first time in the game in injury time but Stefan ‘Soupy’ Campbell landed an equaliser to take the game straight to penalties with no extra time played.

No-one was complaining among the 3,500 fans and a quality shootout saw all five Monaghan penalty takers – Conor McCarthy, Aaron Mulligan, Shane Carey, Jack McCarron and David Garland – convert.
