THE Government was last night accused of a “cover-up“ over the investigation into the country’s scandal-hit mother and baby homes.
The head of one of the survivor groups Anna Corrigan asked why the Final Report has been reduced from 4,000 to 3,000 pages by the Attorney General.
The five-year-old Commission of Investigation led by Judge Yvonne Murphy handed in its conclusions to the Government last October.
It was then sent by the Cabinet to the Attorney General for consideration and it is due to be released publicly on January 11.
But Children’s Minister Roderic O’Gorman had originally told the Dail the report was over 4,000 pages long.
