A Teenage boy blasted multiple times in what is believed to have been a targeted shooting told locals who rushed to his help, “I’m going to die”.
The 17-year-old was shot on Eugene Street in Dublin’s south inner city just before 11pm on Wednesday.
Residents in the area heard cries for help and witnessed the alleged getaway car speed off.
One local, who sat with the teen until an ambulance came, said: “I was sitting there watching telly with the dog, me missus was in bed and I just heard the three shots.
“It must have been a small-caliber gun because it sounded like a cap-gun.
“He was spitting blood, I think he was shot once in the neck and maybe two other bullets grazed him.
“He was only bleeding from his mouth, he wasn’t holding anywhere else.
