IRELAND’S Fittest Family star Anna Geary admits she tries to slow down her Cork accent so viewers and listeners can understand.
The rebel county GAA star, 34, said it’s important to have country accents loud and proud in the media.
She told the Irish Daily Mirror: “I think it is probably myself personally but it is also the fact the Cork accent is typically fast-paced that I would be quite conscious, particularly on the radio.”
The All-Ireland winning camogie captain turned RTE TV and radio presenter added: “I definitely have to be more conscious of slowing down.
“It is fine it you are in Cork because people can pick up what you are saying faster, but if you are not it is important that you are clear and concise and I often have to slow down.
