Government To Sell Off €700m Shares In Bank

STATE shares in Bank of Ireland are being sold for up to €700million, Paschal Donohoe, revealed to the markets yesterday.

The Finance Minister is planning to offload the Government’s 13.7% share over the next few years.

He didn’t go into too many specifics because it could have affected the market.

The Government bailed out Bank of Ireland a decade ago after the crash to the tune of €4.7billion.
