'Fat Freddie' moved over warder threats

MOBSTER "Fat" Freddie Thompson has been moved to another jail after "making threats" to prison officers.

The killer, serving life for the murder of Daithi Douglas, was transferred from the maximum security prison in Portlaoise to Limerick jail on Thursday.

The switch comes after months of trouble caused by Thompson - most recently threats he has allegedly made to prison officers inside Portlaoise.

Sources said the volatile criminal, who led much of the Kinahan cartel's feud campaign in Ireland, has become an increasingly difficult prisoner.
