A SURVIVOR whose baby is buried at Bessborough has begged the Government not to have her daughter’s tiny body dug up.

Ann O’Gorman’s first-born Evelyn lies in an unmarked grave in the grounds of the notorious Mother and Baby Home in Cork city.

She gave birth at 17 and passed out when a nun “dragged the afterbirth out of me” – and when she woke up her baby was gone.

And while some survivors back the Burials Bill which was debated in the Dail last week, Ann said countless others don’t want the graves disturbed.

She told the Irish Mirror: “I’m crying out for help. There are people saying they’re speaking on my behalf, but they don’t represent me at all.
