Couple arrested over withholding information in Ashling murder case

A MARRIED couple are being questioned on suspicion of withholding information in relation to the death of Ashling Murphy.

The man and woman, both in their 60s, were arrested in South Dublin on Wednesday morning.

Primary school teacher Ashling was attacked and killed while on a run along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, Co Offaly, on January 12.

The 23-year-old had only left work at Durrow National School, where she taught first class, a short time earlier.
