Cooling Off Period

PARTS of Ireland are set to sizzle today before temperatures take a sharp nosedive right across the country tomorrow night.

Cooler weather is in store for the weekend with temperatures in the low to mid teens, while next week it looks likely to continue colder than average for June.

Today will be largely dry with the East and South of the country seeing the highest temperatures of around 18C, while the North-West will be much milder at around 13C.

While Saturday starts dry, a weather system approaching the West coast brings rain to that half of the country in the afternoon.
