Star says soap bosses should keep on ruffling feathers with show’s plot

Fair City’s Rebecca Grimes said she understands the uproar over her plot lines – but insists it’s important bosses keep ruffling feathers.

The soap caused a storm when it was revealed her character Hayley’s biological dad was Fr Liam.

The confessional scene divided Carrigstown fans and was blasted by Kerry priest Fr Kevin McNamara for portraying the Sacrament “in a disrespectful and very hurtful way”.
