Eligible groups will be able to get a top-up jab once it has been at least five months since their second dose of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca or three months since they received the single Janssen vaccine.
Damien McCallion, the HSE's national lead for vaccinations and testing, said many of the country's 470,000 people in their 60s will be able to get theirs over the coming weeks.
