The TV personality leapt to the former Good Morning Britain host’s defence after he said he didn’t believe what Meghan Markle told Oprah Winfrey about suffering mental health issues while living with the Royal Family.
It led to a clash on Sharon’s US chat show The Talk – like America’s answer to Loose Women – between her and co-host Sheryl Underwood.
Since the heated discussion, the 68-year-old has been flooded with social media comments, including one telling her to “die and go to hell”.
It is yet another attempt to have someone cancelled, to have their life irreversibly changed for saying something others do not agree with.
