ALIVE GAME FOR ANDY

ANDY FARRELL says the pressure of being Ireland coach makes him ‘feel alive’.

But he warned Ireland’s young guns that they must earn their stripes before he pitches them into battle.

Ireland are reeling after back-to-back opening Six Nations defeats to Wales and France.

This is a rest week and a chance for Farrell to take stock ahead of the clash with Italy.

Farrell is determined to save face and win his three remaining games in the tournament and looks set to resist any urge to experiment in Rome.

That means Johnny Sexton is still favorite – once fit – to start at out-half ahead of Ross Byrne or his brother Harry.
