12 vulnerable youngsters murdered in last 10 years

TWELVE youngsters known to child protection services have been murdered in the last 10 years, it was revealed yesterday.

They were among 200 who have died over the past decade, 42 of them while in State care.

Nearly a third took their own lives, and others were killed by drug overdoses, Aontu leader Peadar Toibin told the Dail.
