Vaccines have brought pride, protection: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the vaccination centre at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in the national capital on Thursday morning as India surpassed the milestone of 1 billion doses of administered coronavirus vaccines.

NEW DELHI:

The prime minister interacted with the beneficiaries, vaccinators, persons carrying out the registration process, guards, and also visited the vaccination centre, according to officials present during the visit.

“Today, when India has achieved a #VaccineCentury, I went to a vaccination centre at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The vaccine has brought pride and protection in the lives of our citizens," PM Modi said in a tweet.

PM Modi was accompanied by Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
