The UAE celebrated its 49th National Day with great fervour and gaiety all across the seven emirates on Tuesday. In Dubai, a massive yacht parade was organised to mark the event.
Around 11.30am, more than 20 yachts embarked on a cruise. The yachts went on a circular formation with the flag being hoisted in the middle from another yacht.
Residents on board the yachts had a spectacular view of the event.
The citizens and residents of the UAE have been urged to follow the precautionary measures during National Day celebrations to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
A UAE flag was seen fluttering at the sea as yachts moved past it.
The authorities said to avoid large family gatherings with no more than 20 people at home for celebrations, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Fireworks, a much-awaited attraction of festivals and key events, took place in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday evening.
