Joseph O'Brien last night welcomed Irish racing’s “very positive step” to carry on through the coronavirus pandemic – a move that places it at odds with the sport in Britain.
At a crunch meeting yesterday, Horse Racing Ireland chiefs decreed that a maximum of one meeting per day can take place behind closed doors, subject to increased restrictions – including a ban on overseas runners.
