This decision follows Monday night’s announcement that the Randox Grand National, the most famous race in the world, will not take place this year.
Racing had attempted to keep the show on the road by staging meetings behind closed doors – with Taunton and Wetherby the first in England to do so yesterday.
But after discussions between the British Horseracing Authority, racecourses, and the Horsemen Group along with consultations with the industry’s Covid-19 steering group, it was decided to cancel all racing.
