THE families of Britain’s Olympic heroes supped champagne for breakfast after watching Team GB strike gold three times in five hours on Magic Monday.
Adam Peaty, 26, became the first Brit swimmer to retain an Olympic title by winning the men’s 100m breaststroke.
Then Tom Daley, 27, triumphed in the men’s synchronised 10m platform dive alongside debutant Matty Lee, 23, before cyclist Tom Pidcock, 21, took gold in the mountain bike race.
Matty’s dad Tim, who cheered him on with wife Helen, plus friends and family at their home in Leeds, said: “We started on the Champagne at 7am.
