Stop The Panic... We Must Pull Together

If there is one medical fact that’s nailed on with bloody coronavirus it’s that panic and anxiety do not help in any way.

It won’t even give you enough of a nervous bowel to get though a tenth of the toilet roll you’ve stockpiled.

So to everyone who is getting off on all the doom-peddling, apocalyptic stuff, can the rest of us just humbly suggest that you shut the hell up.

No-one thinks this is a fun situation and we have to take it all seriously but some of the utter bilge being pumped out by panic pillocks is more breathtaking than the damn virus.

Scaring the life out of a population already worried sick is irresponsible and dangerous. So is trying to score political points out of a pandemic. If ever there was a time for unity this is it.

All the media have a huge responsibility to be very careful in the language they use to describe every development of this outbreak. But some seem hellbent on being just as divisive and scaremongering as they were during Brexit. (God, almost feeling nostalgic for those times now.)
