England kept their cool in 28C heat yesterday, beating Croatia 1-0 to ignite their delayed Euro 2020 campaign.
MONTHS of footie-frustration were blown away as England got their Euro 2020 glory bid off to a roaring start.
Raheem Sterling scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Croatia in front of 22,500 delighted fans.
They filled 90,000-capacity Wembley with songs, cheers and chants following last year’s tournament postponement.
And their heroes responded by delivering England’s first ever opening match win in the history of the competition.
It also avenged the Three Lions’ 2018 World Cup semi-final defeat by Croatia.
