A BISHOP has suggested appointing a “fish and chips tsar” to save the battered fishing industry.

The Rt Rev Alan Smith, Bishop of St Albans, told the Lords that post-Brexit chaos could affect livelihoods.

He said border issues that have seen rotting fish piling up on docks were an “immediate problem for many of our fishermen, who are suffering”.
