RAFA NADAL hit back at Denis Shapovalov after the Canadian accused the Spanish superstar of enjoying special treatment from umpires.
The world No.6 stayed on course for a male record 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open with a roller-coaster five-set win over Shapovalov.
But the Canadian No.14, who smashed his racket on the court after the gut-wrenching defeat, repeatedly clashed with Brazilian umpire Carlos Bernardes during a stormy encounter.
First he complained that the Spaniard was taking too much time to get ready to receive his serve – and demanded the Brazilian umpire penalise Nadal with a code violation.
As Shapovalov returned to the baseline, he shouted: “You guys are all corrupt. You guys are all corrupt.”
