LEIGH owner Derek Beaumont considered quitting the sport last month – but has now refocused on defying the odds to keep the Centurions in Super League.
Beaumont was left “flabbergasted” by the RFL’s decision to deny the club the ability to run an elite academy after a comprehensive application.
But after a period of reflection, the 50-year-old is now determined to steer the winless Centurions away from the foot of the table.
“I love this club passionately and deeply,” said Beaumont (above).
