CREWS created some of Corrie’s biggest-ever sets for the gripping action – which took four weeks to shoot.

Staff built a huge “subterranean universe” of Victorian tunnels and storm drains in which the stars could be immersed when the sinkhole collapsed.

Sets were mounted on 30-metre winch rigs so they could be lowered up and down in the water.
