Lorry drivers are being head-hunted in cafes by HGV agents offering them £2,000 bungs.
Recruiters are pulling up at transport stops and approaching truckers over their fried breakfasts with “astronomical” pay deals due to the drivers’ shortage.
They are believed to be working for staffing agencies who supply some supermarkets.
