Royal Ascot will today welcome the biggest crowd for any horse race in more than a year.
The Queen is expected to lead the celebrations as 12,000 racing fans will burst out of lockdown to cheer trackside.
The festival – which normally welcomes 300,000 spectators over five days – has been allowed to host mass crowds as one of the Government’s test events.
