DAFFODILS have been banned in a park because they could poison children.

A swathe of the spring favourites have been cut down at a site nicknamed “Daffodil Walk".

Town hall chiefs deny they are to blame - but admit they will not plant any new bulbs because they can give kids diarrhoea if swallowed.

One local called it “ridiculous, adding: “Let's get rid of all the bees and wasps, cut down all trees!"
