Strauss wants new feel without Jimmy and Stu

ANDREW STRAUSS has admitted to dropping Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson in order to create a “different feel” to the England Test team.

Ahead of the three-Test tour to the West Indies, Strauss chose his words carefully underneath two big posters of the pace aces in the ECB boardroom.

But it was the closest that he came to explaining that the two giants of English cricket might have unintentionally stifled the leadership qualities of others as well as caused a backlog of bowlers who should be starting to flourish.
