Billy Joe Saunders insists he can succeed where every other Brit has failed and dethrone pound-for-pound king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Saunders has finally landed his shot at Alvarez after last year’s proposed fight fell victim to coronavirus and will face the Mexican legend on May 8 for the unified super-middleweight title.
Saunders’ WBO crown, as well as the WBA Super, WBC and Ring magazine belts, will be on the line when the pair clash at a venue yet to be announced.
Alvarez has beaten the six Brits he has faced, from Amir Khan to Callum Smith and Liam Smith to Rocky Fielding, but the undefeated Saunders is adamant he can win.
