BBC presenter Dan hits back at critics who want him off Strictly

DAN Walker has hit back at rumba-lings that he should never have made it this far on Strictly.

The BBC Breakfast host, who is 4-5 favorite to be eliminated this weekend, insists he is improving and says his joy is inspiring others.

One report yesterday said fans were questioning why the 44-year-old was still competing on the BBC show.

Dan and pro Nadiya Bychkova, 32, stayed in last week, while swimmer Adam Peaty, 26, and his partner Katya Jones, 32, went out.

Defending his position, Dan told of an encounter with an elderly man, who told him his Strictly performances had inspired him to go back to dance classes, which he had given up decades ago after his wife died.
