A Survey has discovered that 96 per cent of Scots who travelled overseas between March and June this year felt “very or fairly safe” despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The poll, carried out by the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association, also found more than half asked would go abroad within the next 12 months if allowed.

More than two-thirds reportedly feel “devastated, disappointed, confused or upset” by the current travel restrictions.

The SPAA is calling for the Scottish Government to trust its vaccination and testing programme so the ailing industry can be restarted.

The organisation protested outside the Parliament in Edinburgh yesterday to make their point.
