Jake Vokings has told how Scotland star Stuart Armstrong helped sell him on a move to Ross Country.
The Southampton clubmates discussed the possibility of Vokins taking a season’s loan deal in Scotland, with Armstrong urging the England Under-19s fullback to try the Highlands.
The highly-rated Saints youth academy graduate has experienced first-team action against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Brighton but Wednesday night’s Brora outing was only his 10th first-team appearance.
And the 21-year-old marked the occasion with a superb assist for Alex Iacovitti’s winning goal.
