SCOTS are not crossing the Border to buy alcohol in sufficient numbers to impact the aims of minimum unit pricing (MUP), research has found.

The Scottish Government brought the policy - which placed a minimum cost of 50p per unit of alcohol- in a bid to clamp down on the number of low-cost booze deals.
