No10 Officials Will Say That Johnson Lied To Parliament

FORMER No10 officials will give evidence that Boris Johnson misled Parliament about Partygate, it was claimed.

Ex-Downing Street staffers could provide details to the Commons Privileges Committee, which is probing allegations that the Prime Minister lied to MPs over the scandal, first exposed by the Mirror.

Johnson told Parliament there were no parties only for police to later issue fines over lockdown-busting bashes across Whitehall.

But yesterday, three former Downing Street figures said they believed Johnson who was hit with a fixed penalty notice had misled Parliament.

One told a national paper: "On the facts, he was definitely at lockdownbreaking events and knew they were happening, and therefore what he said to the House was knowingly inaccurate."
