The centre-half smashed his nose in a bounce game but Saints boss Callum Davidson hasn't ruled out giving his six-figure January signing from Sligo Rovers his first start.
Davidson, who revealed striker Chris Kane is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, said: "John headed the back of someone's head as he scored in a bounce game.
"His nose burst open but John is a tough cookie and he's available to play with a mask on.
