The Bury South MP crossed the Commons floor to Labour in the latest blow to PM Boris Johnson. Labour leader Starmer said: I am sure there's a lot of soul searching. If there is another one who chooses to cross the floor, I will greet them with open arms myself, and I'm sure we'll have a pint and chat.
